Solo exhibition in the Brighton Festival!

I'm going for it! I'm launching an exhibition of all-new work at Gallery 40, for the Brighton Festival. Time to come out of the studio, find some clothes without paint on... and go public!

Metal on Canvas is an alchemy of real metals. Bronze, copper, iron, silver and gold, combine with shellacs, polishes, inks and washes in a rich light-responsive finish.

Contained abstract geometry suggests planets, cityscapes, field patterns, rock-strata, the view through a microscope or telescope. Slow change over time and tipping-points.

There are large and small paintings, bright geometric abstracts, dark-textured organic pieces... and a new wave of artworks that are intricate little machines.

My mind is as mercurial as my materials (I'm told, and my wife claims its a compliment). Come and see a creative journey wrapped around the walls.

How to find Gallery 40

It's just down the hill from The Pond pub, only 3 minutes on foot. from the station.

As you come out the station, look for a steep road leading down left under the forecourt. It's dark, under a bridge. As you pop out you'll see The Albert live music pub. Turn immediately right along Fredrick Street. Gloucester Road is your next left and we're just down the hill. See you there...
